Frequently asked questions
Still have questions? Here are some of the things I’m asked most often
No — and I wouldn’t want to.
Accountants play a vital role in keeping your business compliant and taking care of things like accounts, tax and payroll.
My role is different. I help businesses understand their numbers, identify opportunities, and make better commercial decisions. Whether it’s improving profitability, managing cash flow, assessing investments or planning for growth, the focus is on helping you move the business forward.
The best results often come when commercial finance support and your accountant work hand in hand.
Think of me as the link between your numbers and your decisions.
I help businesses understand what’s happening financially, identify opportunities and risks, and use data to make better commercial decisions. That might involve profitability analysis, forecasting, investment appraisals, performance reporting or simply helping you understand what’s driving results.
Yes. I’m a CIMA-qualified finance professional with 13 years of experience in commercial finance, supporting businesses ranging from major UK household names to international organisations.
Whilst my focus is commercial finance rather than bookkeeping or tax compliance, my accounting qualification provides the technical foundation that underpins the commercial advice and insight I provide.
Not at all.
Large organisations often have dedicated finance teams and business partners. Smaller businesses usually don’t.
That’s exactly why Twenty Six Insights exists — to give growing businesses access to commercial finance expertise without the cost of hiring a full-time employee.
Every business is different.
Some clients need support with a specific project or decision. Others benefit from ongoing monthly support and regular reviews. We’ll start with a conversation to understand your goals and challenges before deciding what level of support makes sense.
Definitely not.
Part of my job is translating financial information into plain English.
You don’t need to know accounting terminology or finance jargon — you just need to understand what the numbers mean for your business.
Absolutely.
Commercial finance isn’t just about fixing problems, it can also help businesses understand growth opportunities, improve decision making, assess investments and maximise profitability.
Sometimes the most valuable insights come when a business is already performing well.
Whilst I specialise in sports and creative businesses, the commercial finance principles I use apply across almost any industry.
If you’re unsure whether I can help, get in touch and we’ll have a conversation.
Because they’re the worlds I know best. It means I understand the unique challenges, pressures and opportunities these businesses face, and it means you have someone in your corner who shares your passion
